Why is Upwork suspending the account?

Why is Up work mass suspending the accounts of Bangladeshis? Upwork account has been suspended for no reason. What did you do that caused Upwork to suspend your account for no apparent reason, why it was happening, and what was the solution to this problem?

Why is your up work account suspended?

There are several reasons for the suspension of the account at Up work, but the account of most Bangladeshis is due to complete incompetence.

Now the question is how does Up work understand you are unfit to work in the marketplace? See the points below to know the answers:

1. Not getting work. Sending proposals for lots of work over the months, but getting no work.

2. Copy-paste proposal. Copying and pasting the same proposal in every job without understanding what the client wants.

3.Sending proposals to un-qualified jobs. “Preferred Qualification” Despite being unqualified in all of these places, repeatedly sending proposals for those jobs. Also, if 3 or 4 clients have “Flag as inappropriate” in your proposal, your account may be suspended.

4. Sending proposals to unskilled jobs. Repeatedly sending proposals for jobs that do not have any skills in your profile. This simply means that you have the skills in your profile as a graphic designer. But not getting a job, you are sending proposals to the job of data entry, SEO, marketing or writing. Upwork assumes you can't do anything.

5. Poor upwork profile. These include not having a portfolio in the profile, copying and pasting overviews of others, setting a lot of skills, and not passing any skill tests.

6. Towards low-rate work. You've been working at Upwork for about 1 or 2 years and have done about 15-20 jobs, but haven't found any significant work and only, 1, 2, 5, or 10 across your entire profile. 

In this case, Upwork will take you as a freelancer with very weak skills and will keep red marking. And if you get bad ratings on two or three big projects (a minimum of 10 50 or 100), your account may be suspended.

7. Very low job success score. You have been working at Upwork for about 1 or 2 years and have done about 15-20 hours, but your job success score is below 70% and most of the work has bad feedback rating, in which case your account may be suspended.

Reasons for which the account is suspended in Upwork except ineligibility:

1. Fake account. Without ID verification, opening an account with another person's name and another person's picture and sending proposals for various purposes from those accounts.

Open an account in Bangladesh with the identity of a citizen of the US, Canada, or any European country. Also frequent logging in to both fake and real accounts from the same PC or laptop.

2. Offering the client to work outside of upwork. And if caught, your account will be suspended for life.

3. Inferior work. Promises to deliver good work with the contract, copy-paste any writing, design, or code from others, submit very low quality work or do not submit any work.

4. Misuse. Misuse or misbehaving in the message with the client.

5. Feedback. Receiving a bad rating and repeatedly requesting the client to change the feedback rating. Take a good look at the above points! I think you got the answer so far, what is the real reason your account has been suspended.

Why is Upwork suspending so many accounts?

Now the question is why Upwork took such a drastic step after so many years? And does Upwork have any special enmity with Bangladeshis? See the points below to know the reason:

1. Reducing incompetent and incompetent freelancers. Many of you may know that the minimum hourly rate in Upwork has now been increased from1 to 3. Now if you don't deserve 3 an hour, do they really need to keep your account and increase spammers? I think you know the answer!

2. Reduce the number of spammers. When a new job is opened at Upwork lately, about 50-100 proposals are submitted in the first hour, if nothing else. Spammers have 30-50% of the proposals! And sadly, a large part of these spammers in various freelance marketplaces are Bangladeshis. Now you may ask, who do I mean by spammer?

The definition of spammer is quite large so in a word spammers are those who send one proposal after another even though they have no job skills.

3. Client Asantos. Among the clients there is widespread dissatisfaction, anger and reluctance towards Bangladeshi freelancers and their work. No matter how much the government and coaching centers that have sprung up in our country are earning 5-6 lakh freelancers by announcing.

The reality is that the total number of freelancers suitable to work in the freelance marketplaces will be 15-20 thousand! The rest can do nothing but do some spamming. As a result, there is widespread dissatisfaction, resentment and reluctance among the clients towards Bangladeshis getting low-quality services.

4. Increasing the share of Upwork's own profits. You have to understand that Upwork is a business organization. And their source of income is the commission you get from the work you are doing.  

5. A large portion of Bangladeshis, Pakistanis and Filipinos work at very low rates, which is commercially detrimental to upwork. Let me explain with a small example:

6. Suppose the client's budget for a small job is 50. The average bid rate for US or European freelancers is about-45-55. But you got the job by bidding for only 10. 

7. Even though you got the job done right, it was actually a loss project for Upwork because that client was willing to spend 50. I am making the matter clearer!

You get an upwork commission of only 2 as a 20% fee for finishing work at 10, but if a US or European freelancer did the work for 40, you would get an upwork commission of 8. Now you understand where the problem is.

Solve this problem

If your upwork account is suspended due to any of the above disqualifications, I would advise you not to forget their customer support and contact now. Please read the following suggestions carefully:

1. Learn to work. Upwork is not a playground in front of your home, it is a global marketplace for professionals only. Understand first what professional means. The only way to impress clients is with a great portfolio.

2. Develop skills. In 3 months of coaching centers that have sprung up like a frog's umbrella, develop skills in a specific subject without stepping into the temptation of the rich.

There are lots of free tutorials on the internet, practice them yourself. One thing to keep in mind is that you need to pursue success in this field. And the reality is that it will take you at least two years to take your skills to the professional level!

3. Learn to discount. If you need to learn the job well, work for 6 months or 1 year under those who have been working successfully in freelancing for 4-5 years. If they do not pay a penny, learn to work quietly without wasting your time. If you can learn to work well, you can earn a lot, so learn to work with money now without just wasting your head.

4. Learn English well. Practice writing in free-hand English, learn how to write a proposal well, learn how to communicate professionally with clients.

5. If you have been suspended after working at Upwork for 1-2 years, first of all write a formal letter to their customer support very neatly arranged.

If you are weak in English, seek help from someone you know who is good at English. Request them to lift your suspension by presenting your arguments logically without any quarrel or bad attitude.

6. If you have a good previous rating, that is, before being suspended, please contact customer support directly. Now if you don't lift the suspension, wait 3-4 months, then contact customer support again with some good portfolios.

7. Try other marketplaces, upload your own samples to different portfolio sites, and try to create your own client base.
